About 1787 Emergency Fund

For 234 years, the Prison Society has borne witness to injustice and inhumane treatment behind bars. We have not looked away.

At the same time the need in our community has dramatically increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the fight to end brutality and racism that persists in our nation, the revenue we depend on has decreased. Normally, our social service programs like busses and mentoring are supported through government contracts, but that funding has been suspended during this crisis.

Your gift to the 1787 Emergency Fund will help us continue to provide critical services and advocacy during this time of crisis. Help us reach our goal of $75,000. A contribution of $40 or more, makes you a member of the Pennsylvania Prison Society.
